I began my career in music education 29 years ago. I have taught in Puerto Rico. Maryland, Florida and Texas. I have taught all levels, from elementary to junior high, high school and college.
I have been a presenter and clinician for elementary and middle school music educators in Florida, Texas and California. I have also been a guest clinician for All Region choirs here in Texas. I have served as a Fine Arts Curriculum Writer, a Professional Learning Community Leader, Team Leader and a Professional Mentor.
I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Music Education from Boston University, a Master of Arts degree in Music Education from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition, I hold a National Board Certification in Early and Middle Childhood, Music. I also hold a Level 1 Kodaly and Level 1 Kodaly Choral Track trainings. In 2004, I was selected campus Teacher of the Year in Orlando, Florida and, again in 2007, in Austin, Texas.
I live with my loving husband, two beautiful daughters and our furry "boys", Loki and Peter. I love what I do and I do what I love!
